Prosper awards £250m framework to deliver investment works across northern England

Procurement consortium Prosper has appointed contractors to an eight-lot investment works framework worth up to £250m over four years.

The multi-supplier agreement will support the delivery of building installation and refurbishment services across the North East, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. It is available to Prosper’s members and other public sector bodies, including local authorities, housing providers and educational institutions.

The framework was announced on 7 May and will run initially for two years, with two 12-month extension options. Up to eight contractors have been appointed to each lot, which covers disciplines such as plumbing and heating, kitchens, roofing, electrical systems, and whole-property refurbishments.

Firms named across multiple lots include Zenith Mechanical Services, Sunter, and PHS Home Solutions. Other contractors include Buston & Maughan, John Flowers, Ian Williams, Lovell Partnerships and Novus Property Solutions. Around three-quarters of successful bidders are SMEs.

The complete services lot, which covers all scopes listed in the framework, was awarded to eight firms including Equans Regeneration and Esh Construction.

Lot values were not broken down individually in the notice, which gave an overall value of £250m plus VAT for the framework.

Works covered under the agreement include full electrical rewires, kitchen replacements, roofing repairs, damp treatment, and installation of windows, heating systems and sanitaryware. Contractors will also carry out internal and external decoration.

The framework was let using the open procedure and is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement.
