Royal Bam confirms new chief financial officer

Royal BAM Group has appointed Henri de Pater as its new chief financial officer following shareholder approval at the company's annual general meeting yesterday (8 May).

De Pater most recently served as executive director of finance for the contractor’s UK and Ireland operations since January 2022.

He will also join the executive board for a four-year term.

Royal Bam did not announce De Pater's replacement in the UK role.

De Pater began his career at accountancy Mazars, where he worked for four years from 1986 to 1990.

After a stint at technical service provider Van Dorp, de Pater spent almost 13 years as financial director at Bam Living from 1996 to 2009.

He moved to developer AM where he worked for six years as a director, before rejoining Bam Living in 2015 as finance director in the Netherlands.

Before becoming the UK and Ireland finance director, de Pater served as Bam's global director of business control for construction and property.
